Mission
The mission of the Dartmouth College Molecular Biology Shared Resource Facility is to provide molecular biology products, services and support to help Cancer Center investigators solve their basic, translational and clinical research problems. It is our goal to offer the highest quality products and services possible in the most cost-effective and timely manner.
Services Provided
- High throughput DNA sequencing and DNA fragment analysis
- Quantitative real-time PCR
- Phosphorimaging, and film processing
Facility
The Molecular Biology Shared Resource Facility is located on the second floor of the Remsen Building, Dartmouth Medical School, Hanover NH and also maintains satellite facilities for sample pick-up and drop-off on the Borwell Loading Dock, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon NH. The main facility in Hanover is open 7:30 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday and is also available by E-Mail. The Facility’s web site contains detailed information about its services, instrumentation, chargeback fees, technical information, protocols and other information (see http://www.dartmouth.edu/~mbcf). The Core is managed by the Norris Cotton Cancer Center as a shared resource on behalf of the university and is available to all investigators within the greater Dartmouth research community. This Shared Resource is supported by funds from the NCCC Core Grant, the Dartmouth Superfund Toxic Metals Program Project, the Dartmouth Lung Biology COBRE Program Project, and funds from Dartmouth. It is overseen by the Integrative Biology Group, an oversight and advisory committee of the Cancer Center (link).

Most services of this shared resource are on a fee-for-service basis. Charges for services will be made directly to investigator
