Institutional Support

American Cancer Society (ACS) Institutional Grants

Funds for seed money grants are available from our ACS Institutional Grant. Applications for 2009 are accepted until January 31, 2009 and reviewed for funding priority by the local ACS/IRG Review Committee at Norris Cotton Cancer Center. The principal purpose of these grants is to support studies undertaken by investigators who are early in their careers and need pilot data before submitting individual research grant applications.

Cancer Center Developmental Funds (Prouty Pilot Projects)

Pilot projects are funded though Cancer Center Developmental Funds that advance meritorious cancer research and collaborative interactions. The purpose of developmental funds is to support preliminary studies that pursue novel approaches, build new interdisciplinary collaborations, and provide preliminary data necessary for proposed grant applications.

Hitchcock Foundation Awards

The Hitchcock Foundation offers career development and clinical research fellowships, a student research award, research grants of up to $30,000, a special projects fund, and a loan fund. As of 2007, proposals requesting funding from the CDMRP have been submitted through the Federal Government's single entry portal, Grants.gov, in compliance with Public Law 106-107. Individual program announcements and required forms can be found on the Grants.gov website. Pre-applications are required and must be submitted through the CDMRP eReceipt website, <https://cdmrp.org>, prior to proposal submission to Grants.gov.

New for 2008 - In order to clarify the CDMRP Program Announcements and proposal submission process, CDMRP has divided these documents into the following:

  1. Program Announcement - contains all program information, scientific proposal components, and peer review criteria.
